Punching & Cutting
Manual Punching
The Boschert EL series manually gauged punching machines deliver high performance for small and medium production runs, and single pieces and prototypes. Each of the four hydraulically powered, manually gauged punching machines are equipped with at least 36 tons of punching force, and some with up to 60 tons. A heavy-duty tool adapter with rigid ram guidance delivers precise punch and die alignment. The series provides features like self-regulating overload protection, stripper holder and plate, Trumpf or 28XX Tooling System, maintenance-free hydraulic drive, constant punching pressure and a variety of available adapters. Two-axis digital readouts can be mounted to any EL series machine assuring the highest accuracy and increased productivity.

Combination Punching/Cutting
As manufacturers design more parts to save material, decrease weight and ease assembly, combination machines with the capability to form, punch and cut are increasingly popular. Boschert introduced the CombiLaser series of punch laser combination machines to meet growing customer demand. With fiber lasers of 1-, 2- and 4-kW, a full range of materials and thicknesses can be precision laser cut with impressive speed. As with Boschert’s other punching machines, the CombiLaser series can be ordered with working ranges from 40” x 80” to 60” x 120” plus repositioning of the sheet. In addition, the CombiLaser can be configured with one, two or three punching heads as well as with a fully automatic tool changer. With a punching and forming force of up to 50 tons, these combination machines are ideal for difficult and complex forming operations.
The CombiLaser can also be programmed for small part disposal. Finished parts from the fiber laser can be quickly ejected from the work surface with two different parts chute. The part chute tables are arranged directly in front of the fiber laser. Smallest parts can be dropped through a 6” x 6” chute and larger parts through the 27.5” square chute.
Boschert has also developed a security set-up for the fiber laser in cooperation with the BG professional association. This saves precious shop floor space while ensuring complete operator safety. Optionally the machine can be also equipped with a full machine enclosure.

Boschert Eagle/Eagle 250 Notchers
All Boschert notchers offer superior performance, clean cuts and high accuracy. The Eagle and Eagle 250 notchers both feature Boschert’s patented TRI-GIDE® technology, a 3-point ram guidance system that gives the machine it’s world-famous precision and durability.
The Eagle & Eagle 250 notchers with a 6.5 horsepower hydraulic motor, offer front to back cutting to hold material against its stop. Both feature a cope, Hi-Carbon, Hi-Chrome blades, an internal stop for shearing, two patented 12″ combination horizontal hold down and stop bars, engraved brass scales, a moveable electric foot pedal and a scrap bucket
The Eagle notching machines are adjustable up to 50 strokes per minute in jog, single or continuous mode. They have a 35″ wide by 25″ deep table with a milled bed surface so materials do not float or stick. The Eagles’ capacity is 1/4” for mild steel and 3/16” for stainless steel, with notch widths of 8-7/8” x 8 7/8” for a 90° notch. Choose from a 90° fixed angle or variable angles from 30° to 120°.
Additionally, the Eagle 250 hydraulic notcher offers two material hold downs and a special blade guard.

Vari IV Hydraulic Notchers
All Boschert notchers offer superior performance, clean cuts and high accuracy. The three notchers in the Vari IV series feature Boschert’s patented TRI-GIDE® technology, a 3-point ram guidance system that gives the machine it’s world-famous precision and durability.
Boschert variable angle notchers offer a unique approach to notching that directly couples the upper and lower blades, a system that guarantees longer blade life compared to other systems. The Vari IV notchers accommodate all angles from 30° to 120° without blade or clearance changes. A 30° upper blade is directly connected to two corresponding lower blades. All notches of more than 30° are accomplished automatically with a right and left notch. Pneumatic power rotates the blades after each stroke.
The Vari IV notchers also offer a 5.9” x 5.9” 90° notching capability with fixed angle front to back cutting. They deliver a 5/32” mild steel (4mm) and 11-gauge stainless steel capacity. The Vari IV notcher’s 39.4-inch wide by 25.6-inch deep table features a milled bed surface, so materials do not float or stick. Blades shift by pneumatic power. Additionally, the Vari IV offers Hi-Carbon, Hi-Chrome blades that overlap on the cutting edge to eliminate blade chipping, a 6.5 horsepower motor, a moveable electric foot pedal and scrap buckets.
The Vari IV notchers can also be configured with a second station on the rear of the table that can be fitted as either a coping station or a punching station.
- The Vari IV with the coping station has capacities for 5/32″ (4mm) mild steel (mild steel designated as 50,000 psi) or 1/8″ (3mm) stainless steel (stainless steel is designated as 75,000 psi). It can cope 3.937″ deep by 1″ to infinity by moving the stock.
- The Vari IV with the punching station features Trumpf-style tooling with capacities of 5/32″ (4mm) mild steel (mild steel designated as 50,000 psi), 1/8″(3mm) stainless steel (stainless steel is designated as 75,000 psi). Its maximum punch size is 1 1/8 inches. The punching table is 43-inches wide by 13-inces deep.
